Project Overview

 

HMP Portsmouth grade II listed building, went up in 1874 which was created to hold category  A Prisoners, fast becoming luxury accommodation

the Project involves wire sawing 134 windows which are 1.5 meters thick, including, but not limited to temporary propping to the old cells during the internal, and external wall removal. We have been awarded a structural steel installation package, and to date, have installed 140 steel structures totalling over 50 tonne! We exceeded 1 kilometer of track sawing through concrete nearly 1 meter thick! And removed in excess over 800 tonnes of concrete all in just 8 short weeks. We are ahead of the programme which is only halfway through our time at the prison, and we have utilized our full skill set, including:

  • Robotic demolition
  • Track sawing
  • Wire sawing
  • Diamond drilling
  • Structural propping
  • Steel installation and fabrication
