Track Sawing

BD Nuclear use the latest high frequency electronic equipment capable of cutting either horizontally, vertically or even in an inverted manner.

Track mounted wall saws cut clean, near perfect slots of up to 1m deep.  BD Nuclear have considerable expertise using this type of equipment in the nuclear environment.

The high frequency track saw has an electric power unit which is operated by remote control away from the surface being worked upon.  The cutting is carried out by making a series of passes along the length being cut at progressive depths until the desired cut is achieved.

BD Nuclear have been involved in technical decommissioning projects in which they were commissioned to develop innovative solutions using bespoke track saw systems.

Floor Sawing

BD Nuclear has the technology to diamond cut quick and efficient horizontal flat surfaces.  The machine consists of a large circular diamond blade mounted on a spindle and powered by a diesel, petrol or electrical source. This is determined by site conditions and restrictions.

Floor Sawing is typically used for cutting large openings and during surface repairs where fast cutting speeds are required.  The benefit of using Floor Sawing methods are that they leave the remaining floor slabs undisturbed.
